Convener of Education, Councillor Lynda Williamson, said, “Congratulations to Clober Primary School. This inspection report highlights the school as having strong values and very positive relationships amongst children and staff. The report also recognises the school as having good levels of attainment in literacy and numeracy, with equality for all learners within the school. The staff and school community should be very proud of their achievements, and I look forward to seeing Clober Primary continue to grow and flourish in the coming years.”

The inspection team also outlined these key strengths at the school and EYC:

  • Led by the headteacher and senior leaders, children learn in an environment where the school vision, values and aims support strong, nurturing relationships.
  • Children are proud of their school. They are welcoming, engaging and speak enthusiastically about their learning.
  • Staff across the school know children and families well. They work hard together to provide a range of effective supports to address children’s barriers to learning.
We welcome this report which reflects the hard work and commitment of our staff to ensure Clober Primary School and Early Years Centre is a welcoming and supportive environment for all our children.
Head teacher, Catriona Marshall

"At Clober we strive to uphold our values to aspire, respect, achieve and enjoy and I am delighted this inspection report recognises the school as a nurturing place of learning that embodies these values. We will continue to build on our strengths and the success and achievements of our school community.”
