EDLC Libraries across the area are now offering Transparent Language Online for Libraries, a complete language-learning system with courses and lessons designed to build listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
It is free, flexible, convenient and offers more than 100 languages from Afrikaans to Zulu with everything in between including Ukrainian.
Learners can explore a new language in the comfort of their own home, at the library, or on-the-go.
This online service works on virtually any computer or mobile device through a web browser or mobile app so anyone can use it.
This new resource offers so much to so many people within our communities. It will help people for whom English is not their first language and support anyone who'd like to broaden their skill set to include a new language. It is an online resource which enables learners to go at their own speed and it is free. What better time to have a go at learning something new?

Using their library card, EDLC Library members will have unlimited access to more than 110 languages, including English for speakers of over 30 languages. Transparent Language Online for Libraries is packed with pronunciation practice, speech analysis, grammar, writing activities and vocabulary-building activities.
