Council Leader Gordan Low has signed a pledge on behalf of all East Dunbartonshire Councillors in support of the Jo Cox Civility campaign.

The campaign, in tribute and memory of the late MP Jo Cox, commits politicians to set a civil and constructive tone, to act with integrity, honesty and compassion, and to always behave respectfully towards others, including political opponents.

The Jo Cox Foundation also aims to tackle all forms of abuse and intimidation against elected representatives so that our democratic process can be carried out properly, elected representatives feel safe, and potential future candidates are not put off from standing for office.
