Parents and carers using Early Years and Out of School Care services in East Dunbartonshire are being asked to share their experiences with the Council.
It’s almost five years now since the full entitlement of 1140 hours of funded early learning and childcare for all 3 and 4 year-olds and eligible 2 year-olds was rolled out across the area.
Hours can be in a Council nursery, with a funded provider, in a private, voluntary or independent sector nursery or with a funded registered childminder. The aim is to give families access to high-quality, flexible services and this consultation is designed to find out how it is working.
Views are also sought from families using Out of School Care in the area.
The online survey runs from Friday 19 June 2026 until Sunday 12 July 2026.
Councillor Lynda Williamson, Convener of the Council’s Education Committee hopes as many people as possible will take part. She said, “We are very proud of the education service we offer children and young people at every stage of their lives but we are always listening and looking for ways to improve and ensure that services are meeting families’ needs.
By sharing their experiences of Early Years and Out of School Care, parents/carers will hep us build up a picture and shape what we provide for the future.
"If you have children using any of these services please take the time to complete the survey and let us know what you think.”
