The Council has a wide range of facilities for hire at venues across East Dunbartonshire.

Facilities are available to book within:

  • Schools
  • Community Centres
  • Community Halls
  • Enterprise Centres

The annual letting process for 2024/25 is now underway whereby community organisations and groups can make their annual booking requests for Schools, Community Centres, and Halls between August 2024 and August 2025.

Child protection and vulnerable adults

If you run activities involving children or vulnerable adults in East Dunbartonshire Council facilities, please refer to the Child Protection & Vulnerable Adults Guidance before placing a booking.

Schools

The Council makes a number of schools available for community use. Individuals and groups can apply to use the spaces during the academic year, from August to June. Some schools are available from 6:30 in the evening and on Saturdays; others are available all year round. Please contact the Letting Team for more information by email: letting@eastdunbarton.gov.uk or by phone: 0300 1234510

Community centres

There are five community centres in East Dunbartonshire:

  • Auchinairn
  • Craighead (Milton of Campsie)
  • Hillhead (Kirkintilloch)
  • Milngavie
  • Torrance

The Council has four Community Halls available for booking:

Letting amendments and cancellations

You can advise us of any bookings you wish to cancel or amend by filling in the form below. Booking reference required.

Please note: As per the Letting Terms & Conditions, the Council requires seven days’ notice of cancellations in writing, otherwise full payment of the booking must be made. Cancellations cannot be made on the telephone. This applies to all bookings.

Enterprise centres

We have two enterprise centres which offer a variety of training, meeting, event and conference facilities. These are:

  • McGregor House, Kirkintilloch
  • Lennoxtown

Both centres have a range of room sizes, layouts and specifications along with the following support services:

  • Multimedia equipment
  • Staffed reception
  • Wireless internet connectivity (Lennoxtown only)

Useful information

  • A request to book a Council space requires to be made a minimum of one week in advance.
  • School events take priority over other bookings, and whilst the Letting Team will endeavor to give you a week's notice, occasionally your booking may be subject to cancellation at short notice.
  • All booking requests are provisional until confirmed by the Council.
  • Once you have completed your booking reservation, we will confirm it via email, typically within five working days. If your booking time is unavailable, we will call or email you to agree alternative dates and locations. Invoices will be issued by email after your event, with the exception of social events which are payable in advance.
