Proposal of Application Notice
Before a developer can submit a planning application for a Major Application they must submit a Proposal of Application Notice. A Major Application is defined by a hierarchy of development set out in planning legislation. A Major Application is development with a site area of more than two hectares or 50 or more dwellings.
As part of the Proposal of Application Notice the applicant is required to carry out pre-application consultation meeting in the community to seek their views and these should inform their application submission. This process seeks to improve submissions and the quality of planning applications. It should be noted however, the pre-application consultation does not take away the right of individuals and communities to express formal views during the process itself.
Choose proposal of application notice from the application type drop down-menu.
