Glasgow City Council Cyber Incident

Glasgow City Council is currently experiencing a cyber incident which is affecting their digital and online services.

While we have not been directly impacted, we do use Glasgow’s City Council’s Parking Penalty Charge Notice payment portal which has been affected.

Please do not try and pay a parking fine using the online service at this time.

Payment can still me made via the automated telephone payment enquiry line on 0141 287 0300 but please bear in mind this service will be busier than normal.

If you are contacted by someone claiming to have your data, you should contact Police Scotland on 101. You can also report this in person at any police station.

We remain in contact with Glasgow City Council and urge our residents to remain vigilant when receiving any communication from Glasgow City Council over the coming days.

For more information visit Glasgow City Council’s website and follow them on social media for updates.

Glasgow City Council - Penalty Charge Notices web page.

The Council is responsible for enforcing parking restrictions in East Dunbartonshire.

Our Community Wardens use an electronic device to store information and produce the ticket, and they also take photos of the vehicle. They have body worn cameras that can record any incidents or inappropriate behaviour. At this time Police Scotland will continue to deal with vehicles causing an obstruction.

Parking in a disabled bay

Blue Badge holders can park for free in all of East Dunbartonshire's Council car parks - even where charges are in place and regardless of whether it is in a disabled bay as long as a valid disabled badge is properly displayed. You do not have to obtain a pay & display ticket.

The charges are:

  • 0-2 hours - £2

  • Over 4 hours - £6

Parking fines
