• Reason for emergency works: Urgent Scottish Water Sewer Repairs
• Town: Bishopbriggs
• Road affected: Coltpark Lane, Bishopbriggs.
  at its junction with Kirkintilloch Road and Stuart Drive
• Duration:10am on Wednesday 15 January until 6pm on Sunday 19 January 2025.
• Notes: All vehicles prohibited except emergency service vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works. 

Alternative routes are by way of the A803 Kirkintilloch Road, Stuart Drive and Coltpark Avenue Bishopbriggs, and these routes will be sign posted

• Reason for emergency works: Council roads service is to carry out emergency drainage works
• Town: Kirkintilloch
• Road affected: A803 Kirkintilloch Road between the bridge at the Clyde and Forth canal and a point west of its junction with Adamslie Crescent
• Duration: 9.30am Monday 13 January 2025 till approximately Monday 27 January 2025
• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, rolling temporary two way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movements. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day.

• Reason for emergency works: Emergency SGN Repairs to a gas escape
• Town: Milngavie
• Road affected: Drumlin Drive between its junction with Breadie Drive and its junction with the access road between numbers 64 to 108 Drumlin Drive, Milngavie.
• Duration: 3pm on Thursday 9 January 2025 until 6pm on Thursday 30 January 2024
• Notes: Access to the closed section of road will only be maintained for emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works.

Alternative routes are by of Drumlin Drive, Shaw Road, Breadie Drive, and Keystone Quadrant, Milngavie, and these routes will be sign posted.

• Reason for closure: BT overhead power line works.
• Town: Baldernock
• Road affected: Linn Road between its junction with A81 Strathblane Rd and its junction with Tower Road.
• Duration: 9.30 am until 3.30pm on Thursday 30 January 2025.
• Notes: Access to the closed section of road will only be maintained for emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works.

Alternative routes are by of Craigmaddie Road and Tower Road, and these routes will be sign posted.

• Reason for closure: Carriageway resurfacing works
• Town: Bearsden
• Road affected: Campsie Drive from its junction with Stockiemuir Avenue southwards to its junction with Bailie Drive
• Duration: 6am on Monday 13 January 2025 until 6pm on Friday 17 January 2025
• Notes: Access to the closed section of road will only be maintained for emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works.

• Reason for closure: SGN damaged ironwork repairs
• Town: Bearsden
• Road affected: Edgehill Road at its junction with Gartconnell Drive and Sinclair Avenue
• Duration:9.30am on Tuesday 11 February until 6pm on Wednesday 12 February 2024
• Notes: All Classes of vehicles prohibited (except vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of road when safe and practical to do so during the works).

  Alternative routes are by of Edgehill Road, Sinclair Avenue, Gartconnell Road and Gartconnell Drive, Bearsden, and these routes will be sign posted

• Reason for closure: Council Roads Service is to carry out carriageway resurfacing works
• Town: Bearsden
• Roads affected Second Avenue between its junction with Killermont Road
• Duration: 6am on Sunday 19 January until 6pm on Sunday 26 January 2025
• Notes: Access to the closed section of road will only be maintained for emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works.

Alternative routes will be by way of Killermont Road and First Avenue, Bearsden, and these routes will be sign posted

• Reason for closure: Contractor carrying out various groundworks including the formation of a new access. These works are associated with the new Cala Housing Development presently under construction. There are also repairs being carried out on the existing former railway bridge on Chryston Road, due to corrosion discovered during the site investigation
• Road affected: Chryston Road, Fauldhead, at a location to the east of its junction with Market Road, Kirkintilloch
• Duration: Sunday 22 September 2024 until 6pm on Friday 31 March 2025
• Notes: In order to prevent danger to the public arising from damage to the structural integrity of the bridge over the former railway bridge and for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, East Dunbartonshire Council will require to extend the existing temporary road closure on Chryston Road Fauldhead, between its junctions with Market Road, Kirkintilloch, and Sauchenhall Road/Muckcroft Road from 6pm on Sunday 22 September 2024 until 6pm on Friday 31 March 2025
  Alternative routes are be by of Sauchenhall Road, Gartshore Road, Mollins Road, the B8048 Waterside Road, Market Road, Kirkintilloch, Calfmuir Road, and Muckcroft Road, and these routes are presently being sign posted
  Access to the closed section of road is presently only maintained for vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties and land adjacent the closed section of road. There is no access through the closed section of road for emergency service vehicles

• Reason for closure: A section of carriageway resurfacing, and drainage works on Union Street at Oxford Street, Kirkintilloch
• Town: Kirkintilloch
• Road affected: Union Street between its junction with Cowgate and its junction with Bellfield Road/ Washington Road, Kirkintilloch
• Duration: 6.00am on 24 January till 8.00pm on Saturday 25 January 2025
• Notes: Access to the closed section of road will only be maintained for emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works.
• Alternative routes are by of Washington Road, the A803 Glasgow Road, West High Street, Cowgate, Alexandra Street, Northbank Road, and Bellfield Road, Kirkintilloch, and these routes will be sign posted.  Internal routes will also be sign posted.

• Reason for closure: Scottish Power cabling works
• Road affected: Braehead Avenue at its junction with South Mains Road and Campbell Avenue
• Duration:9.30am on Monday 10 February until 6pm on Friday 14 February 2025
• Notes:All Classes of vehicles prohibited(except vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works).

  Alternative routes will be by of South Mains Road, Crossburn Avenue, Braehead Avenue, Campbell Avenue, the B8050 Craigdhu Road, Park Road and Main Street, Milngavie, and these routes will be sign posted.

• Reason for closure: Scottish Water repairs to damaged ironwork.
• Town: Milngavie
• Road affected: Dumgoyne Avenue, Milngavie between its junction with B8050 Craigdhu, and its junction with Oakburn Avenue.
• Duration: 6.00am from Sunday 2 February till 07.00am Monday 3 February 2025
• Notes: Access to the closed section of road will only be maintained for emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works.
• Alternative routes will be by of the B8050 Craigdhu Road, Clober Road, Craigton Road, Hunter Road, and Dumgoyne Avenue, Milngavie, and these routes will be sign posted.  Internal routes will also be sign posted.

• Reason for closure: EDC Roads Service is to carry out carriageway resurfacing works.
• Town: Kirkintilloch
• Road affected: Southbank Road between its junctions with Townhead and Southbank Drive, Kirkintilloch.
• Duration: 6.00am from Sunday 16 February till 6.00pm Sunday 23 February 2025
• Notes: Access to the closed section of road will only be maintained for emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works.
• Alternative routes will be by way of Southbank Drive, Donaldson Street, Marina Way, the B757 Lenzie Road, Townhead, Cowgate, Catherine Street, the A806 New Lairdsland Road and Parliament Road, Kirkintilloch, and these routes will be sign posted.

• Reason for temporary traffic management: SGN is to carry out gas main replacement works
• Town: Bearsden
• Road affected: Canniesburn Road, Bearsden, between its junction with the A809 Drymen Road and a point north of its junction with Tweed Drive
• Duration: 9.30am on Monday 6 January 2025 for approximately three months
• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, rolling temporary three and four way traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities as required will be used to control traffic movements. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day.

• Reason for temporary traffic management: Virgin Media is to clear silt from a road chamber
• Town: Bishopbriggs
• Road affected:B819 Crosshill Road near B & Q
• Duration: 9.30am until 3pm on Saturday 8 February 2025
• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, temporary two way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movements. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled at all times.

• Reason for temporary traffic management: Council Transportation is to carry out various works associated with the active travel corridor.
• Town: Milngavie
• Road affected: A807 Auchenhowie Road, between a point east of its junction with Finlay Rise and Alllander Toll Roundabout.
• Duration: 9.30am on Monday 4 November till 4 April 2025
• Notes: This work is associated with the A807 Active Travel Corridor project.
  The works area will be from east of the Rangers FC training ground to the Allander Toll roundabout. The works programme has been broken down into six phases, with each phase approximately 250m in length. In the interests of contractor and public health and safety, temporary traffic lights will be in place to manage the flow of traffic past each phase of work.
  In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, rolling temporary two, three and four way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movements on Auchenhowie Road between a point east of its junction with Finlay Rise and Allander Toll Roundabout. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day.

• Reason for temporary traffic management:BT is to carry out core failure works
• Town: Milngavie
• Road affected: Douglas Street at its junction with Park Road, Craigdhu Road and Clober Road
• Duration: 9.30am on Saturday 15 February 2025 for approximately five days, during the school holidays.
• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, the existing temporary traffic signals will require to be switched off and temporary four way traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities will be used to control traffic movements. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day.

• Reason for temporary traffic management: Council Roads Service is to carry out civil works associated with the installation of new traffic signals
• Town: Milton of Campsie
• Road affected: A891 Campsie Road/Antermony Road at its junction with the B757 Birdston Road
• Duration: 9.30am on Monday 3 February 2025 for approximately four/five weeks
• Notes:In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, the existing pedestrian crossing facility will require to be switched off and temporary three way traffic signals incorporating a pedestrian crossing facility will be used to control traffic movements. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day.

• Reason for temporary traffic management: 
• Town: Milton of Campsie
• Road affected: Birdston Road at its junction with the most southern junction with Birdston Service Road
• Duration: 9.30am until 4.30pm on Tuesday 21 January 2025
• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, temporary three way traffic signals will be used. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled at all times.

• Reason for temporary traffic management: BT is to carry out repairs to a manhole cover 
• Town: Kirkintilloch
• Road affected:Campsie Road at the access to Hayston Golf Club
• Duration: 9.30am on Thursday 30 January 2025 for approximately three days
