• Road affected: Drymen Road, between Ledcameroch Road, and Colquhoun Drive
• Duration: 10am until 12pm on Sunday 9 November 2025
• Notes: The alternative route for vehicles travelling northwards in Drymen Road will be by way of Ledcameroch Road, Whitehill Road, Thorn Road, Thorn Drive, Colquhoun Drive and then returning to Drymen Road.  Vehicles travelling southwards in Drymen Road should travel vice-versa.  Vehicles travelling westwards in Roman Road will be diverted via Douglas Place, New Kirk Road and then northwards only on Drymen Road.

• Road affected: Maxwell Avenue, Bearsden, from the East Dunbartonshire Council/Glasgow City Council Boundary which extends from a point 350 metres or thereby northwest of its junction with the A739 Bearsden Road and its junction with Murrayfield Drive, Bearsden

  • A81 Milngavie Road, Bearsden, between its junctions with the A81 Maryhill Road and MacFarlane Road, Bearsden.
  • The southeastbound carriageway of the A81 Maryhill Road, between its junctions with Canniesburn Toll Roundabout and Rannoch Drive, Bearsden.

• Notes: 

  The alternative routes for vehicles under the height of 4.4 metres will be by way of MacFarlane Road, Canniesburn Toll Roundabout, the A739 Switchback Road and Bearsden Road, Temple Road, Dalsholm Road, Skaethorn Road, Cowal Road, and these routes will be sign posted.  Vehicles exceeding the low railway bridge maximum height of 4.4 metres on the A739 Bearsden Road within Glasgow City Council’s area will be diverted by way of Canniebsurn Toll Roundabout, the A809 Drymen Road, the A810 Duntocher Road, Bearsden, the A810 Glasgow Road, the A8014 Kilbowie Road, Hardgate, the A82 Great Western Road, the A739 Bearsden Road, Temple Road, Dalsholm Road, Skaethorn Road, Cowal Road, and these routes will be sign posted.

  Access to the closed section of road will only be maintained for emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties and land adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works.

  The northwestbound carriageway of the A81 Maryhill Road, Bearsden, will remain open.

• Reason for closure: East Dunbartonshire Council Roads Service is to carry out carriageway resurfacing works

• Road affected: Coltmuir Drive from its junction with Coltmuir Gardens southward to its termination at the existing turning head
• Duration: 9.30am until 6pm on Monday 27 October 2025
• Notes: Access to the closed section of road will only be maintained for emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties and land adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works. There are no alternative routes.

• Road affected: Dalkeith Avenue and Cloan Crescent, between its junctions with Westerhill Road and Friar Avenue, and also on Dalkeith Road, Bishopbriggs, between its junctions with Dalkeith Avenue and Kirkintilloch Service Road, Bishopbriggs.  
• Duration: 6am on Sunday 26 October 2025 until 6pm on Sunday 2 November 2025

• Reason for closure: Virgin Media blockage repairs
• Town: Bishopbriggs
• Road affected: South Crosshill Road between its junction with the A803 Kirkintilloch Road and its junction with the unnamed access road to Morrisons
• Duration: 6am on Monday 13 October 2025 until 6pm on 
  Friday 17 October 2025
  
• Notes: All vehicles are prohibited except vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works. Alternative routes are by of South Crosshill Road, Wester Cleddens Road, Woodhill Road, the B812 Auchinairn Road, Colston Road, the A803 Kirkintilloch Road, and Westerhill Road, Bishopbriggs, and these routes will be sign posted.  Internal routes will also be sign posted. 

• Reason for closure: Contractor carrying out various groundworks including the formation of a new access. These works are associated with the new Cala Housing Development presently under construction. There are also repairs being carried out on the existing former railway bridge on Chryston Road, due to corrosion discovered during the site investigation
• Road affected: Chryston Road, Fauldhead, at a location to the east of its junction with Market Road, Kirkintilloch
• Duration: 11.59pm on Wednesday 17 September 2025 until 11.59 pm on Tuesday 17 March 2026
• Notes: In order to prevent danger to the public arising from damage to the structural integrity of the bridge over the former railway bridge and for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, East Dunbartonshire Council will require to extend the existing temporary road closure on Chryston Road Fauldhead, between its junctions with Market Road, Kirkintilloch, and Sauchenhall Road/Muckcroft Road from 6pm on Sunday 22 September 2024 until 6pm on Friday 31 March 2025
  Alternative routes are be by of Sauchenhall Road, Gartshore Road, Mollins Road, the B8048 Waterside Road, Market Road, Kirkintilloch, Calfmuir Road, and Muckcroft Road, and these routes are presently being sign posted

• Roads affected: A section of Parkburn Avenue, Kirkintilloch, between its junctions with Greens Avenue at the northeastern end and its junction with Greens Crescent, Kirkintilloch
• Duration: 6am on Sunday 23 November 2025 until 6pm on Sunday 30 November 2025

• Reason for closure: EDC Roads Service is to carry out carriageway resurfacing works
• Town: Kirkintilloch
• Roads affected: Waterside Road, Kirkintilloch, between its junctions with Lammermoor Road and Market Road
• Duration: 12.01am on Sunday 12 October 2025 until 11.59pm on Sunday 19 October 2025

• Reason for closure: Scottish Water is to carry out lead renewal works
• Town: Lenzie
• Road affected: Myrtle Avenue between its junctions with the access road to Lenzie Academy and the B757 Kirkintilloch Road
• Duration: 6am on Monday 13 October 2025 until 11.59pm on Sunday 19 October 2025

• Road affected: Campsie Drive between its junction with Balfleurs Street/Lynn Drive and a southwest of its junction with Middleton Drive
• Duration: 6am on Sunday 9 November 2025 until 6pm on Sunday 16 November 2025
• Notes: Alternative routes will be by of Middleton Drive, Lynn Drive and Balfleurs Street, Milngavie, and these routes will be sign posted. • Reason for closure: Scottish Water damaged ironwork repairs which is located on the centre of the carriageway
• Town: Milngavie
• Road affected: Fulton Road from its junction with the B8050 Station Road, over its entire length
• Duration:  From 12.01am until 6am on Sunday 26 October 2025

• Road affected: Campsie Road between its junctions with the B822 Main Street/West Balgrochan Road, Torrance and Kelvindale
• Duration: 6am hours on Monday 13 October 2025 until 6pm on Sunday 19 October 2025

• Reason for temporary traffic management: Virgin Media is to carry out repairs to blockages 
• Town: Bishopbriggs
• Road affected: Crosshill Road at the most northern vehicular access to Strathkelvin Retail Park
• Duration: from 9.30am on Monday 13 October 2025 for approximately five days, during the school October holidays
• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, the existing traffic signals will require to be switched off and temporary three way traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities will be used. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day.

• Reason for temporary traffic management: A contractor is to carry out various works associated with an existing telecoms mast 
• Town: Bishopbriggs
• Road affected: Balmuildy Road near its junction with Hilton Terrace
• Duration: 9.30am on Monday 6 October 2025 for approximately four days
• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, the existing pedestrian crossing facility will require to be switched off and temporary four way traffic signals incorporating a pedestrian crossing facilities will be used. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day.

• Reason for temporary traffic management: East Dunbartonshire Council Roads Operation is to carry out works associated with the installation of a new pedestrian crossing facility
• Town: Bishopbriggs
• Road affected: Wester Cleddens Road just west of its junction with Woodhill Road
• Duration: 9.30m on Monday 22 September 2025 for approximately two weeks
• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, temporary three way traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities will be used to control traffic movements. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day.   

• Reason for temporary traffic management: East Dunbartonshire Council Roads Operation is to carry out works associated with the installation of a new pedestrian crossing facility 
• Town: Bishopbriggs
• Road affected: Wester Cleddens Road, between its junctions with Abbotsford and Bemersyde
• Duration: Monday 6 October 2025 for approximately two weeks
• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, temporary five way traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities as required will be used to control traffic movements on Wester Cleddens Road at its junctions with Abbotsford, Bemersyde, and the access road to St Dominics RC Church. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled at all times.

• Reason for temporary traffic management: East Dunbartonshire Council Structures is to carry out bridge parapet repairs 
• Town: Kirkintilloch
• Road affected: Kirkintilloch Road, southwest of its junction with Adamslie Crescent
• Duration: 9.30am on Monday 20 October 2025 for approximately three days
• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, temporary two way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movements. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day.

• Reason for temporary traffic management: SPEN is to carry out cabling works 
• Town: Kirkintilloch
• Road affected: Waterside Road, between its junction with Gartshore Road and Gartconner Avenue
• Duration: from 9.30am on Monday 8 September 2025 for approximately four weeks
• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, rolling temporary three/four way traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities as required will be used. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day. 

• Reason for temporary traffic management: Scottish Power is to carry out works to overhead power cables
• Town: Kirkintilloch
• Road affected: Waterside Road at its junction with Gartshore Road
• Duration: 9.30am until 6pm on Friday 10 October 2025, during the school October holidays
• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, the existing pedestrian crossing facilities will require to be switched off and temporary three way traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities will be used. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled at all times.  

• Reason for temporary traffic management: Network Rail is to carry out a railway bridge inspection

• Road affected: B757 Kirkintilloch Road/Auchinloch Road at the existing railway bridge at Lenzie Station
• Duration: 10pm on Saturday 4 October 2025 until 6am on Sunday 5 October 2025
• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, temporary three way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movements on Kirkintilloch Road/Auchinloch Road at its junction with Millersneuk Road, Lenzie. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled at all times.

• Reason for temporary traffic management: A contractor is to carry out tree felling works
• Town: Milngavie
• Road affected: A81 Strathblane Road, Milngavie, between the vehicular access to the Nuffield Health Centre and Craigmaddie Lodge, Milngavie
• Duration: 9.30am until 3.30pm, each day, from Monday 3 November 2025 for approximately five days
• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, rolling temporary two/three way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movements on Strathblane Road between the vehicular access to the Nuffield Health Centre and Craigmaddie Lodge, Milngavie. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled at all times.

• Temporary traffic restriction: No waiting at any time restrictions due to Remembrance Day Service

• Road affected: Both sides of Ledcameroch Road between its junctions with Drymen Road and Whitehill Road, on both sides of Whitehill Road between its junctions with Ledcameroch Road and Thorn Road, on both sides of Thorn Road between its junctions with Whitehill Road and Thorn Drive, on both sides of Thorn Drive between its junctions with Thorn Road and Colquhoun Drive and on both sides of Colquhoun Drive between its junctions with Thorn Drive and Drymen Road

• Temporary traffic restriction: Temporary Waiting and Loading Restriction Except School Buses
• Town: Torrance
• Road affected: Main Street
• Duration: Thursday 14 August 2025 until Friday 12 February 2027 and will be effective between 8.30am and 9.30am and between 2.30pm and 3.30pm, Monday to Friday
• Notes: On Tuesday, 29 July 2025 the East Dunbartonshire Council made a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which makes it unlawful for any person to cause or permit any vehicle, with the exception of school buses, to wait or load or unload in the length of road specified in the Schedule by reason of the likelihood of danger to the public, as school buses will be dropping off school pupils due to the temporary decant of pupils from Milngavie Primary School to Torrance Primary School. 

• Reason for footpath closure: Comex cabling works

• Reason for footpath closure: Scottish Water is to carry out water main replacement works

• Road affected: Unnamed public footpath adjacent to Freeland Place/Luggiebank Road, Kirkintilloch.
  
• Duration: 6am on Monday 11 August 2025 until 6pm on Friday 17 October 2025
• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, a section of the existing footpath will require to be closed between Freeland Place/Luggiebank Road northeastwards for a distance of 55 metres or thereby at the existing underpass beneath the A806 New Lairdsland Road, Kirkintilloch, which runs adjacent to the Forth and Clyde Canal

Alternative routes for pedestrian will be by way of existing footpath network within Luggie Park, the existing underpass near the A806 Initiative Road/Parliament Road, existing footways on Parliament Road, Townhead, and Freeland Place, Kirkintilloch, and these routes will be sign posted.
