The East Dunbartonshire Council (A807 Auchenhowie Road) (Redetermination of means of passage to be by pedal cycle and foot only) Order 2025.
On Tuesday, 18 February 2025 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above Order under Section 1(1) and 152(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. This Order comes into operation on Wednesday, 02 April 2025.
The proposals to make the Order were published on the East Dunbartonshire Council website and advertised in the edition of the Bishopbriggs Herald published on Wednesday 14 August 2024 and the edition of the Milngavie and Bearsden Herald published on 16 August 2024. The main effect of the Order will be that the lengths of road being specified in the Order which at present comprise footway, shall become cycle track with the right of passage being exercisable on pedal cycle and foot only.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any provision therein on grounds that the Order is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any relevant Regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks from 18 February 2025, make an application to the Court of Session for this purpose.

THE EAST DUNBARTONSHIRE COUNCIL (A807 AUCHENHOWIE ROAD) (REDETERMINATION OF MEANS OF PASSAGE
TO BE BY PEDAL CYCLE AND FOOT ONLY) ORDER 2025
The East Dunbartonshire Council in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 1(1) and 152(2) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 and all other enabling powers hereby make the following Order.
- This Order may be cited as “The East Dunbartonshire Council (A807 Auchenhowie Road) (Redetermination of Means of Passage to be by Pedal Cycle and Foot Only) Order 2025“ and shall come into operation on 02 April 2025
- In this Order the following expressions have the meanings hereby assigned to them:-
- “Cycle track” has the same meaning as that given in Section 151 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984; and
- “Pedal cycle” has the same meaning as that given in Section 151 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984
- The lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this Order, which at present comprise footway, shall become cycle track with the right of passage being exercisable on pedal cycle and foot only.
