The Proposed East Dunbartonshire Council ( Various Roads, Lennoxtown) (20mph speed Limit Order 20XX
East Dunbartonshire Council, in accordance with their powers under s84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers, propose to consider the introduction of a 20-mph speed limit on the entire length or part of the length of those roads in Lennoxtown listed in Schedule 1 below.

Order
The East Dunbartonshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Constable of the Police Service of Scotland in accordance with Part III and IV of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following Order.
- This Order may be cited as “The East Dunbartonshire Council (Various Roads, Lennoxtown) (20 mph Speed Limit) Order 20XX” and shall come into operation on XXXX
- In this Order the following expressions have the meanings hereby assigned to them: -
“vehicle”, unless the context otherwise requires, means a vehicle of any description and includes a machine or implement of any kind drawn or propelled along roads, whether or not by mechanical power
- No person shall drive any vehicle at a speed exceeding 20 mph on the lengths of road specified in Schedules 1 and 2 to this Order.

Lengths of Road in Lennoxtown within East Dunbartonshire
- That length of the A891 Strathblane Road which extends from a point 37 metres west of The Clachan westwards for a distance of 498 metres or thereby
- That length of Glen Road which extends from its junction with Whitefield Terrace/ Calico Way Roundabout north-westwards for a distance of 437 metres or thereby
- That length of the B822 Crow Road which extends from its junction with Cumroch Road north-eastwards for a distance of 645 metres or thereby
- That length of Station Road which extends from its junction with the A891 Main Street / Service Street south-westwards to a point 40 metres or thereby west of the Veitch Place junction
- That length of the A891 which extends from its junction with Rowantree Place/Campsie Road eastwards for a distance of 290 metres or thereby
- That length of Crosshouse Road which extends from its junction with The Clachan eastwards for a distance of 250 metres or thereby.
