Police Scotland Youth Volunteers Awards ceremony

Three East Dunbartonshire residents were recognised at Police Scotland’s recent Youth Volunteers Awards event, attended by Provost Gillian Renwick.

She was delighted to meet Head Youth Volunteer, Ritvik Gajree along with Ben Jiang who received a Commitment Award and Nakul Yadav who was named Youth Volunteer of the Year and congratulate them on their awards which they received from Chief Inspector Aidan Higgins.

The event celebrated a decade of Police Scotland’s volunteering programme which supports young people with vital life skills and employability skills and aims to enhance the relationship with the police, through volunteering. Find out more about it here: Police Scotland Youth Volunteers - Police Scotland.

Provost Renwick said,

This was such an inspiring event and it was wonderful to hear the young people’s stories about how the Youth Volunteers Programme has helped build their skills and confidence.

Congratulations

Congratulations to everyone who received an award but a special well done to East Dunbartonshire’s Ritvik, Ben and Nakul.”
