East Dunbartonshire’s 53rd Annual Art Exhibition at the Auld Kirk Museum, supported by East Dunbartonshire Leisure and Culture (EDLC) Trust, was officially opened today by Provost Renwick.

As well as having the honour of opening the exhibition, Provost Renwick presented prizes to two of the winners of a new competition organised to mark the inclusion of young artists’ work at the event for the first time. She is pictured here with Emily and Robyn.

The other winners were Anais and Amy while the work of Molly, Jessica, Lisa, Lily and Freya was highly commended.

Provost Renwick said, “It was a pleasure to attend the exhibition and meet some of our local artists whose work is on display. As always the standard is exceptional and the whole experience is well worth a visit. Meeting some of the young artists whose work is on display for the first time was truly inspirational.

“Congratulations to the EDLC Trust on another wonderful exhibition. If you can, you should head along to the Auld Kirk Museum before 16th September to see the wealth of talent for yourself.”
